Solicitor General of India, Rohinton F Nariman has today resigned from his post. The reason behind his resignation is not yet clear, but sources familiar with the incident said that Nariman was upset due to some tiff with Law Ministry officials. Nariman was appointed as the Solicitor General by the government in July 2011 after Gopal Subramaniam quit the post. Prior to his appointment, Nariman was a prominent corporate lawyer, successfully representing several clients, including Mukesh Ambani in the RIL gas dispute. less
