The Supreme Court has refused to hear an urgent plea of four associates of sandalwood smuggler Veerappan, who were seeking stay on their execution which has been reportedly fixed for today, saying there was no proof about it. Speaking to the mediapersons, Colin Gonsalves who had appealed on behalf of the four condemned prisoners said that the Chief Justice did not hear the matter on the ground that there was no proof that execution will take place today. less
