Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today in Rajya Sabha said that Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik is "misinformed" about the reasons for the arrest of Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan. Shinde further said that during his meeting with Malik, he specially mentioned that the investigations done by India have shown that Hafiz Saeed was a part of the Mumbai attacks conspiracy, in which 166 people were killed. However, Shinde added that documents show that the JuD chief was arrested for reasons other than Mumbai attacks, while Malik said he was detained for 2008 incident.
