At a time when the dignity of women is high on agenda, a BJP MP from Chhattisgarh has raised yet another controversy by saying that rape of grown-up girls and women might be understandable but people should be hanged for a similar assault on minors. MP Ramesh Bais said rape of minor is a heinous crime and those who commit such crime should be hanged. Meanwhile, in New Delhi, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has said that the Delhi Police will increase night patrolling. He also added that the telephone numbers of women help desk in a police station will be notified to all schools and colleges.
