Chief Justice of India Altamas Kabir today stated that the massive public protests that followed the brutal gang-rape in Delhi last month was justified, but there was an attempt by parties with vested interests to corrupt the movement. Meanwhile, the counsel for two of the accused in the barbaric case today said that one of his clients is a juvenile and demanded medical examination to ascertain his age, while adding that he is getting threat calls for taking up the case that has sparked nationwide outrage. The trial of the five accused in the gruesome gang rape of the 23-year old girl began in a fast-track court in New Delhi today.
