In wake of the massive anti-rape protests across the country, Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today said that each police station in Delhi would have 10 women constables and two women sub-inspectors. While addressing a conference of state police chiefs and chief secretaries, Shinde urged them to recruit more women in the police force. Shinde also said that the government would consider lowering the age of juvenile criminals to 16 years, as many state police chiefs had demanded.
