In a major success for the police and anti-insurgency operations, a top Maoist leader wanted in over 32 cases has been arrested in the rebel hotbed region of Palamu in Jharkhand. Superintendent of Police Anup T Mathew shared details of rebel Yogesh alias BKG and said that he was arrested during a raid from Kathaundha village. Mathew further said that the wanted Maoist leader has at least 32 cases registered in the neighbouring state of Bihar where he used to regularly visit to make recruitments and mobilize villagers into the organization. In the last few years, the rebels have stepped up their efforts to wage a war against the government and in quest of this, they have been sabotaging all development projects such as construction of roads, school buildings and health care centres.
