National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon today briefed BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley about the situation at the Line of Control (LoC). The meeting took place at Swaraj's residence in New Delhi. After the BJP sharply criticized the government's policy on Pakistan, Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari today sharply criticized the party saying that tactical response and not jingoism is the need of the hour. Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had called BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley and discussed the issue. Jaitley has appealed to Singh to immediately review New Delhi's level of engagement with Islamabad.
