The Meteorological Department in New Delhi today predicted thunderstorms over the next few days in the national capital, with light showers bringing back the chill to the city. The sky is likely to remain cloudy with incidence of thunderstorms in some areas. Unexpected showers in the morning dampened the spirits of office-goers, who were running late to work after the clouds enveloped the city. While Delhi's minimum temperature today was three notches above average at 11.7 degree celsius, the maximum temperature on Sunday (February 03) was 26.3 degree Celsius. Meteorologist M Duraiswamy explained how snowfall and rain in several parts of northern India brought down temperatures in the national capital.
