The Supreme Court today issued a notice to former Telecom Minister, Dayanidhi Maran and state-owned telecom firm, BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) after a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) suggesting misuse of office by the former minister. Talking to reporters in the national capital, advocate Ravi Kumar Sharma said that petitioner; Swaminathan Gurumurthy had alleged that Maran had illegally installed 323 phone lines to benefit his family-owned television network. less
