In yet another blow to the development activities, Maoist militants have set fire to two earthmover vehicles at a road construction site in Chhattisgarh. The attack took place in the Pakhanjur region which falls in Kanker district of the Maoist affected state. What was appalling to most of the eyewitnesses was that police had still not arrived on the spot for a considerable period of time after the attack took place. The Maoists attacked in broad daylight about 4.00 pm (local time) when construction work was going on at a crucial road in the region.
