In order to give relief to the families living below the poverty line in Delhi, the state government has today decided to raise the cap on LPG cylinders from 9 to 12. This subsidy will benefit BPL, Antyodya and JRC card holders. The decision was taken as part of the 'Kerosene-free Delhi' scheme. The Delhi government would bear the cost of subsidy on additional three cylinders. Last week on Thursday, the central government had announced increase in the cap on subsidized domestic cooking gas from the existing six cylinders to nine in a financial year.
