Praagaash Band, Kashmir's first all girls rock band finally decided to call it quits after the Grand Mufti issued a fatwa against the girls, terming singing as un-Islamic. The all-girls band which came to limelight after their performance at the annual 'Battle of the Bands' competition faced online threats and hate messages. Although the girls have maintained silence over the issue, but according to sources the rock-band's three teenage members have decided to quit singing and music. The girls had defied convention by stepping into the male-dominated field but faced online threats and abuses from conservative sections of the society. less
