Locals today took to the streets in Kashmir over the recent case of an acid attack on a woman following which the middle aged school teacher has sustained severe burn injuries on her face and arms. The incident took place in Parraypora area of Srinagar, when a youth threw acid on Rukaya who suffered compound injuries. She was rushed to the SMHS Hospital in the city for treatment. However, the police swiftly swung into action and managed to arrest the stalker identified as Reyaz Ahmad Nath of Lone Mohalla in Chanapora area. In this context, locals carried out a protest rally in Srinagar and demanded strict action against the offender. The reason for Reyaz Ahmad Nath's vicious attack on the woman is yet to be ascertained. The school teacher will be soon flown to New Delhi for plastic surgery.
