DMK chief M Karunanidhi today made it clear that he will name his younger son and party treasurer M K Stalin as his political successor. Earlier, the 88-year-old DMK chief had made a similar assertion, which was challenged by his elder son Alagiri, who is also central minister. The declaration would intensify rivalry between 59-year old Stalin and his elder brother Alagiri, who earlier said that he would not accept anyone else other than his father as leader, for top post in the party. The DMK chief however ruled out early polls.
