Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda today submitted his resignation and called for fresh elections of the legislative assembly after key ally, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) withdrews support from the BJP led coalition, leading to a political crisis in the state. Munda submitted his resignation to Jharkhand Governor Syed Ali Naqi at the Governor's residence in Ranchi. Chief of JMM, Sibhu Soren along with his son, also the deputy chief minister of the state Hemant Soren informed Syed Ali Naqi about the decision of withdrawal of support from the incumbent government led by Munda. Soren's JMM withdrew support to the BJP-led Arjun Munda government on Monday over power sharing issues.
