The Indian Army has stated that it will convey its strong resentment to Islamabad over killing of its soldiers by Pakistani troops in its soil when deemed fit. New Delhi has accused Pakistan of sending troops across the Line of Control (LoC) and said that two of its soldiers were killed and one was wounded in a half-hour gunfight that ensued when the Indian patrol challenged the trespassers. The body of one of the slain soldiers was found "badly mutilated" in a forested area of the Himalayan territory. Fears are growing in India of an escalation in rebel incursions into Kashmir from Pakistan to disrupt the relative peace during winters, as snowfalls block the Himalayan mountains passes.
