Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) CEO Michiel Mol (R) and SXC Asia CEO Alex Tang pose in front of a 1:1.5 scale model of a "OCOR Lynx Mark II" aerospace vehicle, which can carry a pilot and one passenger, during a news conference in Hong Kong. SXC announced on Monday its expansion into Asia to expand the company's business in space tourism industry, focusing on consumers from the greater China region. According to the company's press release, the cost of the "Founder Astronaut Package", the first one hundred passengers, is HK1.68 million (approx. US$215,400), which includes travel to Curacao spaceport from Hong Kong, hotel accomodation and a 45 to 60 minutes spaceflight to sub-orbital space between 60 and 100 kilometres above the earth. less
