An event was organized by the Indian Council for Child Welfare(ICCW) to announce the awardees for the ‘meritorious act of bravery against all the odds’ in the National capital on Friday. Twenty-two children have been selected as the awardees for the National Bravery Award 2012. The awards will be presented by the Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh. And all the awardees will participate at the Republic Day parade in New Delhi on January 26. A black belt holder in karate, Akanksha Gaute’s valiant act resulted in nabbing three miscreants at around 11 pm on June 2, 2012.
