Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leader, Akbaruddin Owaisi, who was arrested in a hate speech case, walked out of jail after nearly 40 days. Owaisi had been lodged in the district jail from January 9 after his arrest in Hyderabad in connection with the hate speech case in Nirmal town on December 22. MIM Supporters, shouted slogans in favour of the party and Owaisi. The police had to resort to a mild lathi-charge to disperse the supporters.
