The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today alleged that the Congress-led UPA Government is making all attempts to lure the people of the country ahead of the 2014 general elections through "lollypops" like the Cash Transfer Scheme, and added that the Centre has now realised that it cannot approach voters with its failures. BJP spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said 'it is not cash subsidy, but a puppet's play'. The government's ambitious direct cash transfer of subsidies scheme will be rolled out today. The government will today start the direct cash transfer of subsidy to bank accounts of beneficiaries in 20 districts.
