The Delhi Police today tendered an unconditional apology to the Delhi High Court for not coming up with a satisfactory status report in connection with the shocking gang rape and murder of a 23-year-old medical student by six men on a moving bus in the national capital last month. The police have also submitted a fresh report containing the details of the name of the policemen who were present at the time when the 23-year-old victim and her friend sought help. During the hearing yesterday, a bench headed by Chief Justice D Murugesan and Justice V.K. Jain criticized the Delhi Police for not mentioning in its status report the names of the policemen on PCR duty in the area that night.
