After facing online threats and hate messages, Kashmir's first all girls music band- Praagaash - is now facing a fatwa from Muslim clerics, a day after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah came out in support of the girls. Kashmir's Grand Mufti has condemned the rock band and issued a fatwa against them, saying music is bad for the society and women must be under a veil at all times. It also said that music is not good for society and the girls should inculcate "better values" within themselves. Meanwhile, National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Mamta Sharma has criticized the action asserting that there should be no difference on the basis of gender. less
