Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar has denied reports of the Delhi Police ever being a party to the Italian Finmeccanica helicopter deal scam, with reported scheduled orders for the choppers for the organization. Media reports have highlighted that the Italian probe has pointed out to chopper company Agusta Wetland hiring middlemen to swing in deals for an order with the Delhi Police in 2009. The reports come in the wake of the ongoing CBI enquiry into the chopper deal scam, and now fingers are also being pointed towards the Italian company trying to influence the home ministry for a deal with the Delhi Police as well.
