Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today met Delhi High Court Chief Justice, Justice Darmar Murugesan, to discuss modalities for fast tracking the gang-rape case. According to reports, it was decided in the meeting that the trial in the Delhi gang-rape case would begin from January 3 and hearing will be held on day-to-day basis without any adjournments. It is also said that more fast-track courts would be set up in Delhi and rapes cases in the national capital would now be heard on a daily basis. Modalities of the plan would be worked out by the Delhi High Court administration. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit was also present in the meeting with the Chief Justice.
