At a recent awards show, instead of waiting to give the usual sound-bytes to the media, Deepika Padukone rushed inside the venue to catch Ranbir Kapoor in action. Ranbir, who was set to perform at the Screen Awards, had a nomination for Barfi! According to a source present at the venue: "Ranbir was going to perform with his mother Neetu Kapoor. Their act was his tribute to the Kapoor family. Deepika was keen to see him dance. But at the same time she was asked to address the media by the show organisers but Deepika requested them to let her watch his act."
