If you sit with a statistian and analyse how many matches india has won out of the 470 odd ODI's sachin has played in, Discount the matches against minows like Zimbabwe, kenya, bangladesh, bermuda, UAE, etc, see how many india has won while chasing against opponents excluding the above teams and how many scahin has won when india is chasing more 250 runs from 1989 to 2012 Excluding the minows. sachin will not even qualify to be called a great player leave alone all time great or god of cricket, Any body who starts at age 16 playing for 22 years 475 odd ODI matches and at opening position is bound to get these many runs, there is nothing superficial about it. but then who cares in india. the selectors are impotent, board is obsessed with money. its a rotten system.

Well untill that elusive 100 is made, unfortunately nobody in the team has a choice but to keep patience. Its been the world cup, tour to england, west indies tour, england tour in India, australian tour......but the 100 simply refuses to come. Even after umpteen attempts, the 100 still refuses to come. So much for records. first of all the Indian mentality of being associated with 100s has to stop and change, the selectors need to change and team building needs to be done where individual landmarks need to be sacrificed for the Team, only then the Team Wins! look at Micheal Clarke's 326* not out and declaring the match so that Aussies Win. Had it been an Indian, 400 runs would have been in mind.

Drop Sehwag for the next 2 ODI & TEST series, Mr. Shrikant be a man of action rather than a man of words and excuse finding. be potent enough to tell the seniors to go rather than waiting for them to decide be it a sachin, bradman, Richards, sobers or anybody.
