The Budget Session of Parliament is all set to begin today with President Pranab Mukherjee's first address to the joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. President Mukherjee will address both Houses of Parliament assembled together at 11 a.m. in the Central Hall. The Railway Budget will be presented on February 26 and the Economic Survey will be tabled the next day. Meanwhile Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, in his address ahead of the session appealed to the Opposition for smooth functioning of Parliament ahead of the Budget Session. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Rajeev Shukla too hoped that the Budget session would be smooth and the Opposition would cooperate.
