Protesters took to streets in Dhaka, as they pressed their demand for death sentence of the war criminals of the liberation struggle of 1971. A Bangladesh war crimes tribunal sentenced Abdul Quader Mollah, a senior leader of Jamaat-e-Islami party to life in prison on February 05, the second verdict in trials that have reopened wounds about the country's independence war and sparked riots. 64-year-old Mollah, was found guilty of charges including murder, rape, torture and arson during Bangladesh's war to break away from Pakistan in 1971.
