Union Law minister, Ashwani Kumar has assured that the central government will take into account recommendations of the two Committees headed by Justice J S Verma and Usha Mehra on anti-rape laws and table these in the parliament so as to ensure stricter laws for safety of women. Earlier on Jan 23, submitting its recommendations on anti-rape laws, former Chief Justice of India Jagdish Sharan Verma said failure of good governance was the root cause for the current unsafe environment for women.
