Anil Kumble over the years
Former India captain and spin legend Anil Kumble was born on 17 October 1970 at Bangalore. With 619 dismissals to his name, Kumble is the third highest wicket-taker in Test cricket, despite the fact that he wasn't a big turner of the cricket ball. He is one of the two bowlers and the only Indian cricketer in the history of cricket to have taken all 10 wickets in a test innings, the other being Jim Laker of England. Kumble, who is the President of the Karnataka State Cricket Association, was recently named Chairman of the ICC Cricket Committee.
