Anil Kumble: Legendary Leggie
Former India captain
and spin legend Anil Kumble was born on 17 October 1970 at Bangalore. With 619
dismissals to his name, Kumble is the third highest wicket-taker in Test
cricket, despite the fact that he wasn't a big turner of the cricket ball. He
is one of the two bowlers and the only Indian cricketer in the history of
cricket to have taken all 10 wickets in a test innings, the other being Jim
Laker of England. Kumble, who is the President of the Karnataka State Cricket
Association, was recently named Chairman of the ICC Cricket Committee.
