Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav might have listed his top priority as upholding the law and order situation in the state, but the first expansion of his ministry after coming to power today reflects a different story. Akhilesh today inducted 12 new ministers, including Vinod Singh who was dropped after he allegedly manhandled and kidnapped the Chief Medical Officer in Gonda district. Vinod Singh alias Pandit Singh, was dropped from the UP government in October last year after his name emerged in the case. He had allegedly abducted CMO SP Singh from his residence in Gonda in an attempt to force him to hire the minister's candidates as doctors for the National Rural Health Mission scheme.
