In a shocking incident as many as 18 migratory birds have been found dead by the banks of Kadamani Beel near Nimati in Jorhat district on Tuesday morning. Forest officials have sounded alert in the area as they suspect poisoning. The forest department has identified the dead migratory birds as bar-headed geese (Dhritaraj in Assamese).
