On the bank of Ludhiana’s Dholewaal Pul, in a govt. school a 106 year old man Narendra Singh claims that he was a former soldier in the Azad Hind Fauz, an army instigated by Subash Chandra Bose. A Pakistan’s Rawalpindi born, this person has been living on in a cramped shack from past 76 years. The man says to have fought for the country against Britishers after his family was destroyed under colonial rule. less
