Washington, June 9 (ANI): Social media giant Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg has denied reports about the US government having access to its servers and insisted that the company has never been part of any such programme to allow the access.
Prism, a contentious programme run by the US to track servers and access user data has created a furor amongst web users as well as tech companies worldwide.
According to Politico, Zuckerberg said that the company has never received any request or court order for information or metadata in bulk, adding that he never heard of Prism before.
He further said that when any such governmental request is made for user data, a thorough review is done to make sure the request follows correct legal procedure and only then, if required by law, the information is provided.
The report added that Zuckerberg assured web users that the company will fight aggressively for any breach to their web data. (ANI)
