All nitty-gritties like distribution of gowns, construction of the pavilion on the varsity's Morabadi campus where the programme will be held, rehearsals and confirmations from guests have been taken care of.

While Raju will be the chief guest, governor-cum-chancellor of universities Syed Ahmed will be the guest of honour. Both will wear blue gowns. The programme, which will go on for two hours, will start from 11am.

Briefing mediapersons on Friday, Ranchi University's vice chancellor L.N. Bhagat said he was happy with the arrangements, which became possible due to meticulous planning and involvement of different committee members.

"Out of 28,687 applications we received, a total number of 3,660 applicants will receive their degrees. There are 38 gold medallists. All will be awarded by the Union HRD minister. The remaining degree-holders will be feted by me and the heads of various departments," he said, pegging the total budget at approximately Rs 31 lakh.
