12 Trends that ruled the roost this year - Jewellery

While 2011 witnessed more chunky and bold pieces, 2012 saw a swift switch. This year, jewellery was all about being classic.

Geometric designs, well-fitted chokers, studded with rich kundan work & precious stones were an all time hit in the jewellery world last year. A-listers like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shilpa Shetty sported dazzling kundan chokers for their D days.

Chunky jhumkas in silver, antique and shades of gold made rounds among B’wood divas. Vidya Balan, B’wood’s saree queen was seen flaunting her trendy jhumkas on various occasions.  While young Bollywood beauties like Kareena and Katrina's western elegance compliment crystals and stones, evergreen divas like Rekha donned the ethnic look.
