Three beaten up for passing lewd comments

New Delhi, Feb 4 (IANS) Three youths were beaten up by passers by after they allegedly passed lewd comments at a teenage girl here, police said Monday. Two of them received severe head injuries.

The incident was reported from Mehrauli in south Delhi Sunday night.

The three, who were on a motorcycle, were caught by people when they started harassing a 16-year-girl who was going home with her parents on a two-wheeler.

"One of the three managed to escape while his two friends were beaten up and handed over to police," said a police officer. "They received severe head injuries but are out of danger."
