Tata case in July

New Delhi, Jan. 4: The Supreme Court will hear in July a petition filed by the Bengal government challenging the Calcutta High Court judgment striking down the act passed to take back land from the Tatas in Singur.

A bench of Justices H.L. Dattu and C.K. Prasad asked the "respective parties" to file their affidavits and counter-affidavits so that it could hear at length various aspects of the case.

On August 24, the Supreme Court had issued notices to Tata Motors on the Bengal government's appeal against the July 22 high court judgment .
