London, July 29 (ANI): Boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Luis Suarez will be staying at Liverpool this season as the club has reportedly rejected a bid of just over 40million pounds by Arsenal.
Rogers said that Suarez is still very much a Liverpool player and he has three years left on his contract and the club is planning with him for the season ahead, the Sun reports.
According to the report, Rogers further said that Suarez still has some way to go as he's a number of weeks behind the other players and added that the club's focus over the course of pre-season is for the first Premier League game against Stoke for which Suarez won't be available.
Rodgers is banking on the Gunners and Real Madrid refusing to meet the club's 55 million pound valuation, the report added. (ANI)
