London, July 20 (ANI): Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is reportedly set to tell his club that he is ready to leave them and join Arsenal when he flies from Montevideo to the club's training base in Melbourne this weekend.
According to the Mirror, the Anfield giants are bracing themselves for Suarez to ask them to let him go, adding that Arsenal is increasingly becoming hopeful that they can get the deal and are likely to go back with an improved bid once Suarez's arrival is confirmed.
The report further said that Arsenal is likely to increase their bid towards 40 million pounds, with add-ons, despite having an enquiry rebuffed before, although the club may be more confident now that Suarez is keen to join Arsenal and has ditched his promise of never leaving Liverpool after the player mentioned being flattered by their interest.
The club apparently has no problems with Suarez entering their ranks even though he has been punished for racially abusing Patrice Evra and biting Branislav Ivanovic, as they consider him as hard working, adding that Suarez is now the most realistic target for Arsenal with Wayne Rooney almost being reeled in by Chelsea.
Meanwhile, the report also said that Suarez had his heart set on Real Madrid but the Spanish giants have not come in after making it clear that they are only prepared to pay 25 million pounds.
There is a complex 40 million-pound clause in Suarez's contract which his advisers believe is enough to allow him to leave while the Merseyside club are adamant that they only have to inform him of an offer, the report added. (ANI)
