New Delhi, Oct 5 (ANI): The Indian Railways has decided to increase passenger fare by about two percent from October 7.
The revised fares will also apply to tickets issued in advance for journey to commence on or after October 7.
The Ministry of Railways has decided to further revise the fares of AC classes of Duronto Express trains at par with Rajdhani-Shatabadi Express for comparable classes. There shall be no change in the fares of sleeper class and non-AC chair car classes of Duronto Express.
"The new changes in fares of Duronto Express shall come into force with effect from 10th October, 2013 in the case of tickets already issued at pre-revised rate, the difference in fare and other charge will be recovered for journeys undertaken on or after 10thOctober, 2013 either by DTEs on the trains for by the booking/reservation offices before the commencement of journey by passenger," said an official release.
