Sydney, Nov 19(ANI): Australia fast bowler James Pattinson has said the drama revolving around Shane Watson's fitness ahead of the Adelaide Test against South Africa has not distracted the team from its preparations.
Watson will bowl in the Adelaide Oval nets on Monday in a high stakes fitness test that will shape a final assessment on his availability for the second Test starting Thursday having missed the series opener in Brisbane with a calf strain. Rob Quiney had replaced Watson at No.3 in Brisbane.
"It is not really a distraction - that is up to him and the coaching staff to get that right. We have some great back up there and 100 per cent faith in the stocks we have if Watto wasn't to play," News.com.au quoted Pattinson, as saying.
"You would love to see him play as he is such a great player, and he brings so much to the team but we just go about our business the same way," said Pattinson in Adelaide today," he added. (ANI)
