Sydney, Feb 15(ANI): Young Australian bowler Mitchell Starc has said he doesn't want to be rested under Cricket Australia's bizarre rotation policy.
Starc's body is going along nicely through the Commonwealth Bank triangular one-day series against India and Sri Lanka, and he doesn't see the need to stop.
"I don't want to be rested and I'm sure none of the other guys would want to be rested as well," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Starc, as saying.
The CA hasn't informed him whether he would be a part of the rotation policy, which has derived furious reactions from fast bowlers.
"I'm not sure what's going on with the selectors. I haven't had any contact with any of the guys regarding resting or anything like that, so personally if the option was there to be rested, I wouldn't be taking it," he said.
Starc said he is not ready to give his spot yet and didn't had any contact with the selectors.
"I can only speak on what I've had to do with [selectors] and I haven't had any conversations with anyone about being rested through any games so I'm definitely not putting my hand up to be rested at all," he said.
He said he was concentrating on his job to play and wasn't bothered by CA's rotation policy.
"That's a selectors job and I've got no impact on that and I'm just preparing how I want to play and what they do resting players is not up to me," he added. (ANI)
