London, January 11 (ANI): Gareth Thomas, who decided to come out as gay in 2005, has revealed that he doesn't care about the sequined costumes on 'Dancing On Ice' because it's a prime-time entertainment show that needs a bit of glitter.
The rugby star got a lot of fame after he decided to come out of the closet, and is also the subject of a documentary 'Coming Out: My Secret Past', the Daily Mail reported.
Gareth's new social circle includes the French shoe designer Christian Louboutin, who sent him a surprise gift of a pair of slip-ons - embroidered with replicas of the full-back's tattoos - after admiring his courage in coming out.
The 38-year-old said that the shoe designer has become his friend, and these days he owns more of Louby's shoes than rugby boots. (ANI)
