London, Aug. 19 (ANI): Manchester United's Michael Carrick in support of the unsettled striker Wayne Rooney has said that he is 'one of the team' and all the players were with him.
Rooney was given a warm reception by the travelling United by applauses and chants of his name, but the striker did not take part in the celebrations following the final goals of Van Persie and Welbeck to acknowledge fans.
Carrick said that he was glad to see Rooney as the substitute who came and set up two goals which makes him a real threat adding that he's a big Manchester United player and one of the team and they all stick together, the Guardian reports.
He further added that the players fight for each other when they are on the pitch and do what they can for Rooney and he is certainly part of that. (ANI)
