Pune: Kedar Jadhav hammered the Uttar Pradesh bowlers en route to his brilliant 312-ball 327 to power Maharashtra to a mammoth 738 for five in their Group B Ranji Trophy match here on Saturday.

Resuming on 102, the 27-year-old Jadhav smashed as many as 54 boundaries, 34 of them coming on Saturday, and two sixes during his 524-minute innings.

In the Hyderabad-Madhya Pradesh match, the recently-retired VVS Laxman struck his 55th first-class century to guide his team to 341 in the Group A match.
