Johannesburg, Feb 15 (ANI): The upcoming Indian film Kai Po Che, a film about cricket, politics and love, has wowed the audience at the Berlin film festival on Thursday.
The film, which is based on the best-selling book 'The Three Mistakes Of My Life' by Indian author Chetan Bhagat, had drawn tears and cheers from an audience in a festival that had a markedly lack of passion, Sport24 reports.
The film contains TV footage from the 2001 India-Australia Test series and features a cameo by Indian cricket star Ajay Jadeja, the report added.
According to the Abhishek Kapoor, the director of 'Kali Po Che', the format of the film will appeal to a large audience all over the world as the film shows the real India, which is about cricket, politics, religion and love.
Kapoor also said that although the film has a lot of the colour and spice of India, it is different from the traditional Bollywood mix of song, dance and music, which he added, do not really connect with people.
Kapoor further said that the USP of the film is the bond between the three leads.
Kai Po Che, translated into 'Brothers for Life', shows the ups and downs of three ambitious young Indian men as they set up a sport shop and a cricket coaching academy in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in a turbulent backdrop of brutal sectarian violence and an earthquake. (ANI)
