Dravid Scored nearly 23% of the total runs put up by India (with a batting average of 102.84) in the 21 Test matches won under Ganguly's captaincy. This is the highest percentage contribution by any batsman in Test cricket history in matches won under a single captain where the captain has won more than 20 Tests.how about this ?

I think India's, objective was to see Sachin get his 100th Century and NOT the Team win against Australia....No offence to Sachin...my all time favorite...I am waiting for the milestone...but INDIA win is my PRIORITY ONE outside India.....

If India's World cup win is a fake then please stop watching cricket matches in which India features.

Nothing wrong in doing that, lot of citizens prefer watching soccer in place of cricket. you also can please join them so that we will have 1 person less cursing our country's achievement.

This shows that, Tendulkar is the back bone of India's batting. Unless he comes out with big scores team India can not win or at least draw the matches. The moment he scores big hundreds, India's chances of winning or drawing the matches increases.

he has scored four hundreds in five tests Vs Bangla and two centuries and one fifty against Kenya and one hundred against Namibia and fifties against teams who are as weak as our clubs. The fact that he could not score even one hundred in twenty five innings shows his caliber. The other fact is he can make money in sponsorships only if he is in the team. He will never quit.

Get your facts right and the way you think. Sachin has scored a century in ipl[t20] but not in intl t20 as he has only played 1 or 2 T20 mathces. BTW scoring a 100 does not make a batsmen great, scoring 100 in test shows the caliber of a batsmen.

With some real, dedicated and combined effort,Team India can easily beat their world record number of consecutive winless tests by losing just 10 more tests overseas. On present form,it will be child's play for the former No.1 ranked test nation.Go for it,guys !!! Show determination, skill and spirit at least in the matter of losing tests !!!!!!!! Wish you the best !!!

You guys are all so naive & pathetic. Tendulkar has to go - it's as simple as that. Time has caught up with him and the Ozzie torrid pacemen exposed not only his shortcomings on fast bouncy wickets but also of the whole much vaunted batting lineup. In Tendulkar's, Laxman's and Dravid's case what was cruelly exposed was what age can do to your reflexes and mind. Time they all departed..yes they have served India remarkably for decades but the have to go. As for ST's 100 century, if he couldn't do it on dead wickets in India against the WI's, when is that going to come? Is the BCCI going to parade him around till that earthshaking event happens, or never happens. He's a billionaire already, nothing more to achieve, he's done it all, he should stop being selfish and retire with grace, [the same applies to the other seniors], & give the youngsters waiting at the door a chance to establish themselves. When the BCCI takes a tough approach to cricket like Cricket Australia - that's when things will change here. Ponting and Hussey resurrected themselves against India, or they would have been dumped. But the series might still be the great Ricky's last swansong. When are we going to change our approach to the game to be like the Aussies? Tough & uncompromising. Your guess is as good as mine boys.

Think about how gavaskar, richards and steve waugh got retired ... they retired at their peak of the game.. Its not wrong to expect the same from these trio. It would be disgraceful, if they couldnt make it big in next two series abroad and choose to retire....I have ben a great fan of these three guys .. but still o feel that its time for them to quit..
